Pool + Option Guidelines

1. When a pool has a capacity of 23,000 gallons (18,000 for a SBX-65) or more, a second ionization chamber must be installed. If the ambient temperature is quite high or the pool will experience a heavy bather load it may be advisable to install the "Plus Option" on a pool smaller than the size listed above.

2. Please refer to the diagram below. The suggested installation is based on the practical experience gained based on thousands of installations.

Please note the chambers are installed on a horizontal (parallel to the gound) run of pipe. The plumbing "T's" that accomplish the splitting and gathering of the water have the riser parallel to the ground. As usual the riser of the ionization chamber points downward.

The manifold formed by the plumbing T's, 2" pvc pipe, "ion chambers " and the 90 degree plumbing fixtures must be level. This will help insure that the water evenly splits in half.

4. The electrical hookup is accomplished with the factory supplied cord when the "Plus Option" is ordered. The chambers are wired in parallel. If the factory cord is not used, wire of a least 18awg must be used for interconnection of the chambers.
