DURING TESTING, ALLOW EACH FUNCTION TO COMPLETELY FINISH BEFORE ACTIVATING ANOTHER SWITCH. THE MICROPROCESSOR REMEMBERS EVERY SWITCH ACTIVATION.
READ EACH STEP COMPLETELY BEFORE PERFORMING ANY OPERATION.
TURN POWER OFF TO THE UNIT.
On the Main (Back) Board:
Front Panel:
Standard Function Boards:

G. After the Valve Cycle light extinguishes the pump will run in high speed for about 15 to 70 seconds.
H. After running in high:
Note:In the Test Mode, when pushing a remote button, push the button and hold for 2 seconds.
I. Activate the remote panel heater button once or activate the button on the 4-way switch (if present) assigned to the heater once.
J. Activate the remote panel heater button once or activate the button on the 4-way switch assigned to the heater once.
K. Rotate the time clock to an "off" position.
L. After the Cool Down Cycle ends:
Note: In the Test Mode, when pushing a remote button, push the button and hold for 2 seconds.
A.
Push the SPA button on the remote panel
or the button on the 4-way switch (if present) assigned that function
one time.
Push the HEATER BUTTON on the remote panel one time.
B. After 45 - 60 seconds the valve cycle light will turn off.
C.
Push the HEATER BUTTON on the remote panel one time.
Push the SPA button on the remote panel or the button on the 4-way
switch (if applicable) assigned that function one time.
D. After 45-60 seconds the valve cycle light will turn off.
The pump will be on and in high speed. The Cool Down Cycle indicator will illuminate.
E.After the Cool Down Cycle ends (7 to 23 seconds):
A. Activate the AUX 1 button one time on the Remote Panel.
LD2 on the Aux circuit board will illuminate.
B. Activate the AUX 2 button one time on the Remote Panel.
LD1 on the Aux circuit board will illuminate.
C. Activate the AUX 1 and AUX 2 buttons one time on the Remote Panel.
LD1 and LD2 will turn off.
A. TURN POWER OFF TO THE UNIT.
On The Main (Back) Board:
Front Panel:
Standard Function Boards:
B.
TURN POWER ON TO THE UNIT. After the VALVE CYCLE indicator goes out the unit
is ready for normal operation.
Note:
The Cool Down Cycle is run whenever the heater was activated and the pump is going to be turned off. If the heater was not turned off, the Cool Down Cycle will turn it off. If the Test/Normal (SW1) switch is in the NORMAL position, the cool down cycle will last about 7 minutes.
The SBX-9302 and the SBX-9602 freeze protection circuit should be tested as follows:
A. Turn Power off to the Unit.
B. Pre-Set Switches:
C. On the main board (rear) remove the wire from TB3 pin 4 (Freeze Common).
D. Turn Power on to the Unit..
The VALVE CYCLE light will illuminate for 45 - 60 seconds.
E. After 45-60 seconds:
F. When the VALVE CYCLE light goes out:
G. TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE UNIT.
H. RESET SWITCHESI. Install the wire back in TB2 pin 4 (Freeze Common).
J. Turn power on to the unit. After the VALVE CYCLE indicator goes out the unit is ready for normal operation.
A. Turn the pump on with the MANUAL switch.
B. Disconnect the wires from the electrodes and short them together. Rotate
the ION OUTPUT knob to 15%.
The ION OUTPUT light should illuminate.
C. Remove the short between the electrode wires - the CHECK ELECTRODES light should illuminate.
D. Turn the pump off with the MANUAL switch.
E. Reconnect the wires to the electrodes. Rotate the ION OUTPUT knob to 0% or the desired setting.
A. Connect a SPST (on/off) switch set in the "off or open" position to TB2 pins 3 and 4.
B. Turn the switch "to the on or closed" position.
C. After the Valve Cycle light extinguishes:
D. Turn the switch "to the off or open" position.
A. Connect a SPST (on/off) switch set in the "off or open" position to TB1 pins 1 and 2.
B. Turn the switch "to the on or closed" position.
C. Turn the switch "to the off or open" position.
A. Verify the VALVE CYCLE light is not lit on the front panel. Identify and remove all wires connected to TB1on the actuator board..
B. Push the SPA button on the remote panel or the button on the 4-way switch (if present) assigned that function one time.
C. After 45 - 60 seconds the valve cycle light will turn off.
Measure 0 vac between each pair of common and spa connections.
D. Push the SPA button on the remote panel or the button on the 4-way switch (if applicable) assigned that function one time.
E. After 45-60 seconds the valve cycle light will turn off.
Measure 0 vac between each pair of common and pool connections.
F. When the valve cycle light is off, reconnect the wires to the Remote Heater Board.
A. Set a multimeter to measure resistance (ohms).
Make sure the Time Clock is in an "Off" position. Verify the switches are set for AUTOMATIC operation.
Identify and remove all wires connected to TB1 of the Remote Heater Circuit Board.
B. Turn the pump "on" in the MANUAL mode.
Activate the remote panel HEATER button once or activate the button on the 4-way switch (if present) assigned to the heater once.
C. Push the SPA button on the remote panel or the button on the 4-way switch (if applicable) assigned that function one time.
After the valves have moved to the SPA position and the VALVE CYCLE light goes out:
D. Activate the remote panel HEATER button once or activate the button on the 4-way switch assigned to the heater once.
The heater indicator on the remote panel or 4-way switch should turn off.
The heater indicator (LD1) on the remote heater control board will turn off.
There will be no continuity (infinite ohms) between TB-1 (Com) and TB1-3 (N.O.).
E. Push the SPA button on the remote panel or the button on the 4-way switch (if applicable) assigned that function one time.
After the valves have moved to the pool position and the VALVE CYCLE light goes out:
