Bypass Instructions

 

Find the diagram that matches your present power and pump wiring.
Then follow the instructions.

We suggest a licensed electrician perform the following.

 

Early Smart Box With Time Clock

Turn off the circuit breaker to the pool equipment. Indentify each wire. Then remove the wire on Pin 5 and put a wire nut on it. Remove the wires on 1 and 4 and wire nut them together. Remove the wires on 3 and 6 and wire nut them together. When the circuit breaker is turned on, the pump will run in high speed.

 

Early Smart Box without Time Clock

Turn off the circuit breaker to the pool equipment. Indentify each wire. Then remove the wire on Pin 5 and put a wire nut on it. Remove the two wires on pin 3 and wire nut them together. Remove the wires on 4 and 7 and wire nut them together. When the circuit breaker is turned on, the pump will run in high speed.

 

Later Model SBX I Units

Turn off the circuit breaker to the pool equipment. Indentify each wire. Then remove the wire on Pin 5 and put a wire nut on it. Remove the wires on 1 and 4 and wire nut them together. Remove the wires on 3 and 6 and wire nut them together. When the circuit breaker is turned on, the pump will run in high speed.
